Whether you are going through changes in your life that are causing emotional distress or need guidance and support, my services will be tailored to your specific needs in a warm, caring and non-judgmental environment. Years of research has shown that the therapeutic relationship between a client and a therapist is paramount in the curative process of therapy. I place great emphasize on a collaborative therapeutic relationship that will enable to you to begin a journey of personal growth and healing while learning the coping skills necessary to help you through difficult moments now and in the future.

I work from an eclectic perspective but draw heavily from cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapies. My goal is to help you understand yourself better and identify unhealthy coping skills and interpersonal patterns that create emotional distress and interpersonal conflict. Collaboratively, we will identify healthier ways of managing difficulties so that you feel empowered to make changes in your life.

I am a licensed Psychologist and provide services in both English and Spanish. Through the years, I have acquired extensive experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults of diverse racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have treated a wide range of psychological disorders/issues including depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, women’s issues, personality disorders/interpersonal difficulties, adjustment difficulties (acculturation) and substance abuse problems. In addition, I have experience working within the school system and provide individual and group therapy to students with learning disorders, attention disorders, autism spectrum disorders and emotional disabilities. I am very familiar with the inner workings of the school system and can assist parents to help their children achieve their maximum educational potential. I am comfortable with a multidisciplinary team approach which ensures collaboration with other professionals so that clients receive the highest level of service. I have experience in working with depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction, women’s issues, acculturation, and adjustment issues, and in performing consultation services with parents and teachers.


I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Miami and a Masters of Arts and Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from The Florida School of Professional Psychology. I completed a pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Citrus Health Network Community Mental Health Center in Miami and a post-doctoral residency in the School District of Hillsborough County.
